Celebration of First Anniversary and a 48% increase in fuel sales for Fly High Lexington, at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, NC
Lexington, NC (August 1, 2011) – August 1, 2011 marks the first anniversary for Fly High Lexington at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, NC. The past year has seen an increase in fuel sales of 48% compared to the previous year.
“We knew coming in that the airport had potential for growth and we are excited to see those results so soon” said Karel Van Der Linden, Owner and Director of Fly High Lexington. The company achieved this increase through a variety of methods including attracting new tenants for the airport and increasing transient Jet A and Avgas customers.
Service and facility improvements were also made which included longer operational hours, expansion of the flight school and the addition of a maintenance department under the leadership of the Director of Maintenance, Edward Holland. The FBO also launched a new website www.FlyHighLexington.com and Face book campaign. From December 12, 2010 to July 31, 2011 the website has received 3,500 visits from 709 cities and 38 countries.
Moving into its second year the FBO plans to focus its efforts on securing new tenants for its corporate hangars and growing the airport’s transient business even further.

Fly High Lexington serves as FBO (Fixed Base Operator) and Airport Manager for the Davidson County Airport, Lexington, NC. The full service operation includes pilot facilities, catering, crew car, conference room, corporate hangars, maintenance and a flight school.
