Established by Emission-Air, Inc., and the first chapter in North Carolina, Wings of Grace offers Christian mentorship and flight training to interested teens beginning at ages thirteen to fourteen.
Students who are awarded a scholarship from the program can earn their private pilot license through Wings of Grace without the expense of paying for airplanes and flight instructors. They earn flight time by serving in a variety of community service projects that teach them a wide range of vocational trade skills as well. Volunteers from churches, the aviation field, and many other vocations mentor students through life’s challenges while teaching them practical skills.
Volunteer hours pay for aviation hours
Students will meet weekly during the school year for mentorship and flight ground school.
Community service projects and flight training will be held on various Saturdays throughout the year. The organization often partners with local businesses and other organizations for developing and implementing community service projects. NC Wings of Grace will be offering fifteen scholarships worth $15,000 each in flight training for the launch of the program.
